Em sembla que fins ara no us he parlat massa de la universitat, del campus, dels meus companys de feina, de la meva feina... bé, de la uni en general. Doncs aquí va...
University of Southern California (USC) és una universitat privada i es reconeguda a tot Amèrica pels famosos Trojans (l'equip de futbol). A USC hi estudien més de 30.000 students (half undergraduates and the other half graduates) i a nivell de mèrits acadèmics (recerca, nombre d'alumnes, publicacions, titulacions...) s'equipara amb la University of California (UCLA, universitat pública). A més a més és la Universitat amb més estudiant internacionals de tot Estats Units, sobretot procedents d'Àsia (jo sóc un outlier!!!).

Aaron said to me that the story is that USC was losing a football game very badly one day, but in the last few minutes of the game, the team became very motivated and scored several points in the last few minutes.... we won the game in the end....but we fought like "trojans" (the ancient greek wariors known for fighting to the death). When the president saw an article in the newspaper desribing how brave and courageous the USC team was, and saw how the reporter compared USC to the ancient Trojan Warriors he felt to proud. So he decided the school should have a statue to encourage the students to never give up, always be brave and loyal to USC. So Tommy was made, every muscle on his body is flexed (actually impossible in real-life to do that), and he is larger than life. Every year students put some clothes on his staute....size XXXL and it still looks small on him.

USC disposa de dos grans campus universitaris. El campus principal és el que estudio jo i al secundari hi ha els LABs. L'entrada de la foto és la gate5 i cada dia a les 8 del matí passo amb la meva bici per aquí... Jefferson street!
Aquest és el meu departament, Andrus Gerontology Center. Entre d'altres hi ha professors e investigadors d'enginyeria, sociòlegs, demògrafs i els que estudien els problemes socio-econòmics, sanitaris, educatius de les persones d'edat avançada.
A més a més la universitat proporciona transport gratuït per anar d'un campus a un altre.
A davant del meu departament hi ha una cafeteria amb terrassa on s'hi està de conya. Cada dia vaig a dinar allí, és el meu moment de desconnexió i relax....
La terrasseta, el tuper i l'Aïda... ja ben tipa!
L'Aaron i la Fah, ja els coneixeu, són dos bons companys de feina... and they are very smart and hardworking people!!!
L'Aïda també és una mica treballadora, eh? ara m'han canviat de despatx, però estic de conya!

Ara ja ser que treballes i estudies de veritat!! fins ara només veia que festeta per aquí viatget per allà... ja dubtava si estaves per feina o bé de vacances!! Per cert, el recinte de la uni és més gran que Arbeca! isi m'apures que Mollerussa. Apa, ara ja no em podràs donar canya perquè no escric al teu blog. pròximament, més!
